In 1945, Hiroshima was decimated by an atomic bomb, killing more than 129,000 people. This mass killing took place in the last parts of World War II and was the only time that nuclear bombs were used (both at Hiroshima and Nagasaki). It was a powerful demonstration of what war can lead to as many innocent lives were taken.
This site is devoted to learning about our past wars in order to help our future. By looking through what happened then, we hopefully can see when things present themselves that may lead us down those same paths, so that we can change direction before it’s too late.
I will be touching on several of the wars from the past in this blog. I will likely also talk some about the detriment to the societies touched by war and the long term effects wars have.
If you would like for me to touch on anything specific, or if you have a question or concern, please contact me through my “Contact Page”.
